Houspensive helps couples manage shared household bills, deposits, and monthly reconciliation. This Privacy Policy applies to the Houspensive app and houspensive.com. It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information we collect
We may collect and store the following information when you use Houspensive:
- Account information: name, email address, and account identifier.
- Household information: household name, invite email address, household member roles, and split percentages.
- Financial tracking information: bill entries, deposit entries, amounts, dates, and notes you choose to enter.
- Subscription information: subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement status related to premium access.
- Account deletion information: request status and scheduling, cancellation, and completion records.
- Website request information: when you visit houspensive.com, our hosting and network provider may process your IP address, requested URL, traffic-routing data, browser or system information, timestamps, and related security or diagnostic data needed to deliver and protect the website.
We do not collect payment card numbers directly. Subscription payments are processed by Apple.
The website does not include analytics, advertising trackers, data-collection forms, or application-set cookies.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Sign users in and keep sessions active.
- Create and manage households.
- Store and sync bills, deposits, and reconciliation data.
- Manage subscription access for household owners and members.
- Restore purchases and validate premium entitlement status.
- Schedule, cancel, and complete account deletion requests.
- Respond to support requests and account-related questions.
- Deliver, secure, and diagnose the website.
Third-party services
Houspensive uses third-party service providers to operate the app and website:
- Supabase for authentication, account data, household data, and app storage.
- RevenueCat for subscription management, entitlement sync, and purchase status.
- Apple for App Store purchases and subscription billing.
- Cloudflare for website hosting, authoritative DNS, content delivery, and network security. Cloudflare may process website request and traffic information as an end-user service provider. You can read the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
These providers may process the information necessary to provide their services to Houspensive.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We only share data with service providers as needed to operate the app and website, process subscriptions, maintain accounts, deliver and secure website traffic, and support core app functionality.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the app and website, maintain accounts, provide household history, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Website request information may also be retained by Cloudflare according to its service controls and privacy policy.
Account deletion
You can schedule account deletion from your profile in the app. Your account remains usable during the 30-day waiting period, and you can cancel the request in the app before the scheduled date.
If you own a household with another member, ownership transfers to that member when the deletion completes. Apple subscriptions are managed separately through Apple and are not automatically cancelled or transferred when you delete your Houspensive account.
When deletion completes, Houspensive anonymizes your profile and removes your active household access. Shared household history may remain available to the other household member. A limited account-deletion record and underlying authentication record may also be retained.

Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
Houspensive is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
